Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Lead to design, implement, and manage scalable data solutions on GCP. The ideal candidate will lead data engineering initiatives, oversee cloud-based data architectures, and ensure efficient data processing, storage, and analytics to support business insights.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and implementation of data architecture and data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Build and maintain scalable data solutions using services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Storage, and Pub/Sub.

Manage end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines and ensure high data quality and reliability.

Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and engineering teams to deliver data-driven solutions.

Implement data governance, security, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.

Optimize data processing performance and cost efficiency within GCP.

Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to data engineering teams.

Monitor data workflows and troubleshoot production issues.

Support migration of on-premise data platforms to GCP.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

7+ years of experience in data engineering or data platform development.

Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and Pub/Sub.

Proficiency in SQL and Python/Java/Scala.

Experience with data warehousing, data lakes, and large-scale distributed systems.

Knowledge of ETL tools, workflow orchestration, and data modeling.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices in cloud environments.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Apache Spark, Kafka, or Hadoop ecosystems.

Knowledge of data governance, data security, and compliance frameworks.

GCP certifications such as Professional Data Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.

Experience with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
