This is a Senior Position. Must have a Minimum of 10 Years as a BA, and 3 years in Workers Compensation.

Job Function:
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing expertise in all facets of a specific Policy Administration Product including application use, data model, and product built-in configuration tools, and leveraging this acquired expertise to help design, develop and deliver solutions to customer needs.
In this role, the Business Analyst is to engage customers in gathering business requirements and expected results and steering them into adopting best practice processes and workflows already built into the product. Where customizations are necessary, elicit, analyze and document requirements, determine product impact and lead in crafting and implementing the solution.
The ideal candidate is a highly-motivated professional with extensive experience in Workers Compensation Insurance, possesses customer engagement/consultative skills, and must have technical acuity.
What you’ll be doing:
Acquiring an in-depth knowledge of the Policy Administration Application – back end (database), front end (User Interface and Built-In Configuration Tools) and anything in between (interfaces and integrations)
Reading, analyzing and interpreting NCCI Circulars and determining and documenting impact to the Policy Administration Product
Partnering with customers to define business needs and eliciting business requirements on complex implementation engagements
Conducting detailed walkthrough of the Policy Administration Application Base Features and Functions with new customers and determining base functionalities that will be adopted and deviations that will need to be implemented
Independently producing artifacts including:
o Business requirements
o Use Cases
o Functional specifications
o Work flow/Process flow diagrams
o Requirements Traceability Matrix
Planning and leading the facilitation of requirements and solution discussions
Providing comprehensive research, analysis and recommendations for proposed solutions, critically considering multiple options before helping the team settle on a solution
Acquiring product configuration skills and implementing required non-programming configurations to meet business requirements
Actively participating in peer reviews/inspections for requirements, estimates, and specifications; providing feedback and guidance to others
Leading the development of supporting documentation and/or training
Providing staff training as subject matter expert
Providing support as needed to internal and external customers
Facilitating of estimating discussions and coordinating work efforts
