Job Title: PeopleSoft Developer

Location: San Ramon, CA/ Tempe, AZ

Duration: Long term contract

 Job Description:

  • The PeopleSoft Technical Developer primary responsibility will be to provide solutions for PeopleSoft HCM and Portal applications.
  • Support will involve the maintenance, troubleshooting and development of application modules and interfaces.
  • Upgrade support consists of re-applying customizations, new development and downloading and applying of PeopleSoft delivered fixes, bundles, maintenance packs and tax updates.
  • Position requires strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to work with business functional users to comprehend business requirements for system development and modifications.
  • Responsibilities will include the design, development and unit testing of project work and system enhancements.
  • The ideal candidate will have a “can do” attitude and the ability to make pragmatic and practical decisions without compromising the integrity of the PeopleSoft application.

 Technical Skills Required:

  • 9.1 PeopleSoft Technical development skills, People Tools, OBIEE, PeopleSoft Portal.
  • Strong experience in HCM modules, and have been involved in implementations, upgrades and maintenance
  • People Tools version 8.5x and above, SQR, XML publisher, Security, Integration Broker, Oracle 12c
  • Other tools like MS office, Share point , Visio, Power point etc.
  • Previous experience in technical and functional design and configurations
  • Previous experience in coding, unit test planning, and unit testing
  • Understand the PeopleSoft architecture and serve as a valuable member in a high functioning team
  • Experience with People Tools, OBIEE, PeopleSoft Portal administration; Experience with other HR application and Taleo is preferred
  • Support PeopleSoft integration Interfaces with other systems in the client environment

  • Guide the junior team members to arrive at optimal solutions
  • Thorough understanding of systems environments including one or more of the following: hardware, software and networking environments, files/databases, programming languages, program design and systems development, batch and online programs, installation procedures, and processing
  • Documenting technical design and business requirements
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Experience to have to worked with the business teams
  • Supports applications, revising, updating and providing documentation as required.
  • Leads, executes or participates in parallel, pilot and other system test phases prior to implementation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Researches, prepares detailed specifications, defines, designs, develops, tests, debugs, installs, and modifies computer software in various platforms in a complex and integrated systems environment.
  • Provides technical expertise in the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems and in the design of improved systems utilizing information services.
  • Provides technical assistance to staff including interpretation of specifications.
  • Performs other duties as assigned or requested.
