Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Oracle DBA responsible for the administration, performance, integrity, and security of database systems. The role involves managing Oracle database environments, ensuring high availability, and supporting business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Oracle Database instances
Monitor database health and optimize performance
Perform backup and recovery using RMAN
Manage database security, users, and privileges
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues
Apply patches, upgrades, and migrations
Ensure database availability and reliability
Perform capacity planning and storage management
Support developers with query tuning and schema design
Maintain database documentation and procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Strong understanding of Oracle Database Architecture
Proficiency in SQL & PL/SQL
Experience with performance tuning and optimization
Knowledge of RMAN backup & recovery
Understanding of database security best practices
Ability to troubleshoot production issues
Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills (Optional):

Experience with RAC / Data Guard
Shell scripting or automation knowledge
Cloud database experience (OCI / AWS / Azure)
