Job Summary:The AWS Data Architect is responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data architectures on Amazon Web Services (AWS). This role focuses on creating data pipelines, data lakes, and analytics platforms that support business intelligence, reporting, and advanced analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement scalable data architecture solutions on AWS.
Develop and maintain data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
Work with large datasets to support analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
Select and implement appropriate AWS data services and technologies.
Ensure data security, governance, and compliance across data platforms.
Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to define data requirements.
Optimize data storage, processing, and query performance.
Monitor data pipelines and troubleshoot performance or reliability issues.
Document architecture designs, standards, and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
7+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
Strong experience with AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda, EMR, and Athena.
Experience with data warehousing, ETL frameworks, and big data technologies.
Strong SQL and data modeling skills.
Knowledge of data governance, security, and data lifecycle management.
Experience with programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
Preferred Qualifications:
AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Data Analytics.
Experience with big data frameworks like Spark or Hadoop.
Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QuickSight.
Experience with modern data lake architectures and real-time data processing.
