Duration: 3 to 4 months and may extend beyond
Location – Jersey City,NJ

The Infrastructure Architect gathers (primarily) Non-functional Requirements (NFRs), for example attributes such as security, reliability, performance and resiliency, and in collaboration with the Application Architect designs the components of the system to meet these requirements. Together they ensure the usability and effectiveness of the entire system. For new components, the Infrastructure Architect must develop a design that is compatible with the current Enterprise Architecture and is operationally realistic. As the design for the infrastructure to support the application modernization effort is envisioned, this will require knowledge of the capabilities and integration points for:
z/OS Subsystems, e.g. CICS, DB2, IMS and their external interfaces
z/OS Resource allocation and sharing for processor, memory, network and storage
z/OS LPARs and z/OS Hypervisors
z/OS Storage infrastructure capabilities and design
zLinux Operations: Management, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and patching
zLinux Middleware: Containerization and availability solutions
DevOps, the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and resulting infrastructure requirements
