Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Professional to support physical security operations at First Citizens Bank. This role involves creating and managing documentation standards, leading system evaluation and onboarding efforts, and ensuring alignment with physical security and compliance best practices. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in technical writing, system documentation, and process standardization—particularly within financial services or similarly regulated environments.
Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain internal documentation, including standards, procedures, and training materials related to physical security.

Provide professional technical writing and editing services to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Identify and document business requirements for a case and incident management system.

Research and evaluate solutions to meet those requirements; lead onboarding and implementation of the selected system.

Oversee migration of legacy data into the new case management platform.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including security engineers, subject matter experts, and external vendors.

Ensure documentation complies with internal standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Create clear and user-friendly documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Maintain and update existing documentation as systems and processes evolve.
Required Skills & Qualifications

8–10 years of professional experience in a similar role, preferably in a highly regulated industry such as banking or finance.

Proven experience in technical writing, documentation development, and process improvement.

Strong understanding of physical security principles, incident response, and case management systems.

Familiarity with tools such as Confluence and SharePoint.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
