Job Description :

Technical Product Owner.

Responsibilities:
Serves as the primary liaison between development team and business partners.
Utilizes knowledge of business objectives, products, workflow and processes to assist team members in developing solutions that deliver value to the end user.
Translates requests from business partners into Epics and User Stories.
Develops and maintains a prioritized Product Backlog.
Ensures the Product Backlog is refined and ready for development team consumption.
Facilitates team effectiveness by answering questions, providing clarification and assisting development team members with their understanding of the request and the expected outcome.
Ensures the Acceptance Criteria is defined for each story
Where applicable, develops a product roadmap which outlines the vision for the product, key features and the order in which the features will be delivered.
Continues to build upon knowledge of the company’s business environment and how assigned business and/ or service units contribute to the company’s strategic objectives.
Maintains current knowledge of insurance industry developments.
Communicates effectively with team members, customers and stakeholders, both verb and in writing.

Requirements:
Demonstrated proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Visio
Familiarity with JIRA preferred
Experience with Agile tools and techniques including Epics, User Stories, Story Points, Sprint Planning
Strong communication skills required for interaction with business partners and IT team members.

Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or comparable, related work experience required. Computer Science or IT qualifications preferred.
7+ years of related experience as a business analyst or product owner.
Experience in Financial services industry is highly preferred.
Business Analysis or Product Owner certifications preferred
