Hello All, My name is Alex Thomas and I am a Staffing Specialist at VedaInfo Inc. I am reaching out to you on an exciting job opportunity with one of our clients. Job Title: Tableau Developer Project Duration: 24 Months Project Location: Phoenix, AZ Job Description: 1. 7+ years Tableau Development 2. 10+ years background in BI 3. 5+ years banking industry experience (large banks only) 3. Proven experience implementing data enablement strategies and BI visualization improvements Client is seeking a Tableau guru to impact a multi-year Business Process Management program by assisting with implementing a data enablement strategy and through a consultative approach provide recommendations, development and upskilling to current developers making overall improvements to their current use of BI visualizations and reporting within Tableau. This candidate will be coming in to assess their current state and not only consult on best practices with Tableau, but also will be hands on with the development of visual reports. This resource will mentor the members on the team most of them are self-taught with Tableau. Ideally, this candidate would be strong with SQL on the backend and would have experience integrating different data sources into one central source. They do not have an ETL tool of choice: based on the current state, this consultant will likely come in and consult on various methods to centralize and simplify their data efforts. The objective is to delivery daily reports on the refreshed data day-to-day. They want a high-level overview of the data for business usage when managing different internal processes. Can also provide granular data views for business usage as well-should be able to consult on which type of reports are needed and when. Current process is entirely manual pulling from excel data sources. Current State: The team is made up of external contractors and they are building a program around their group. There is a lot of data replication due to manual input and as of right now, they do not have the ability to effectively access data dynamically. Overall, there is a lack of data governance. The data input is manual and inconsistent as it is coming from different PM's and Project Analysts who use different templates within excel depending on the nature of the data. They are currently working through seven different data sets that are all excel based. There is an ongoing execution of various processes throughout the environment over 120 different internal processes that they track via many different one-off excel spreadsheets. They do not have the architecture built out and they do not have a centralized data source. Each day they have to manually input/cleanse data in order to load it into Tableau.
