3+ years’ experience in Information Technology Security

Required: Equivalent experience
Desired: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security or Information Assurance

Solid analytical/problem solving skills with the capability to identify solutions to unusual and complex problems.

Analyze issues and respond quickly to security incidents, events and notifications
Proactively review information security systems to identify areas for improvement
Implement policy configuration changes within proxy and firewall infrastructure
Collaborate with other teams and departments to fit security requirements with other constraints such as business requirements or technology limitations
Create reports or dashboards providing a summary of information security objectives and status
Maintain and expand knowledge of best practices and emerging trends in general information security
Maintains process and procedure documentation

Travel Requirement:
Limited travel may be required.

To summarize the position’s day-to-day activities:
Review non-standard software requests for security implications
o Cloud/off-site data store
o Software-as-a-service tools
o Required internet communications
o Install software within malware sandbox environment and review report(s)
Triage security incidents
o Review/monitor ticket queue for incident tickets from the security operations center
o Perform initial review to validate findings through firewall, proxy, VPN and client logs
o Implement necessary response measures within firewall and proxy solutions
o Liaison with other teams for necessary response (lock user/computer account, force password reset, asset reimage, etc
Operational Tasks
o Utilize provided tools, guidance and procedures to troubleshoot user issues
§ Slow VPN performance
§ Website block/warning investigation
§ VPN authentication/access issues
o Perform minor/standard firewall changes, updates and tasks as directed
o Review reported vulnerabilities for applicability as it relates to information security infrastructure
