Job Title : Medicaid Reports Developer – Curam Products

Position Overview
Tha client is seeking an experienced Medicaid Reports Developer with strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Azure Synapse, and Curam Products to support the NC FAST Medicaid Projects. This role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining advanced reporting and analytics solutions that drive data-driven decisions within Medicaid programs.
You will work closely with internal business stakeholders and technical teams to develop new reports, enhance existing solutions, and support backlog change requests and defect resolutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain data warehouses, semantic models, and reporting solutions for NC FAST Medicaid initiatives.

Develop and optimize Oracle PL/SQL code for data processing, transformation, and reporting.

Create and manage Azure Synapse pipelines, serverless SQL pools, and Spark pools for large-scale data analytics.

Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI and BIRT, leveraging the IBM Curam framework for product delivery and financial reporting.

Conduct system and business analysis to ensure that solutions align with project and organizational goals.

Lead and mentor junior developers in ETL design, data integration, and error-handling best practices.

Troubleshoot and resolve defects or performance issues related to reports and data pipelines.

Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and project managers to ensure timely delivery of solutions.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of experience in programming and design of large-scale, web-based distributed systems.

Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, data modeling, and SQL scripting.

Proven experience designing and managing data warehouses and ETL processes (Oracle Warehouse Builder or similar).

Strong understanding of relational databases — including tables, views, indexes, grants, and user management.

Hands-on experience with Azure Synapse Analytics, including pipelines, SQL pools, and Spark pools.

Experience developing analytics solutions using Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL on Azure Cloud.

Proficiency with Power BI for dashboard design and development.

Experience with structured system development methodologies.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
-
4+ years of experience with IBM Curam product (highly desirable).

2+ years of strong SQL development experience.

Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects or BIRT.

Prior Data Warehouse experience preferred.
