SCALA Engineer
Bentonville, AR
Client is looking for Scala Developer for our client to build end to end business solutions and to work with one of the leading retail clients in the US. The resource will be working on back end development of an application that is responsible for the reconciliation of transactions. The ideal candidate must possess strong background on backend development technologies.
The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with domain experts and technical experts in the team. This will be a individual contributor role and be expected to work without supervision from day one with high level directions from a technical lead or a scrum master.
Though the preferred location is Bentonville, AR , we are open for remote work options for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities will include
Create a real time event streaming and complex event processing platform.
Understanding of how to build modular and scalable solution architectures
Integrating multiple technologies and data sources
Working within Agile development teams
Troubleshoots business and production issues by gathering information
Performing root cause analysis to reduce future issues
Working in DEVOPS model
REQUIREMENTS
- Five plus years Years of Java Development experience
- Min three years of hands on experience in projects in Scala Kafka
- Must have worked on Play AKKA framework
- Expertise in tool kits Akka, SBT Parser Lift JSON
- Server side experience in JDBC, JSP, SAX DOM, Web Services, SOAP, WSDL, UDDI, JAXB
- Must be able to write complex SQL statements
- Should be able to demonstrate experience in
o SCM Git, SVN, ClearCase Good understanding of JVM
o Build NAnt, sbt, FMake, NuGet, gulp
o Application Containers Apache, Tomcat, Jetty
o Web Web Logic 5.x 6.x, Websphere 3.5 4, Play Framework, Spray
- Should have worked in Azure or Google or AWS environment
- Experience in NoSQL solution such as MongoDb, or Cassandra will be a plus
