Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer with experience in DBT (Data Build Tool) and Apache Airflow to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transforming raw data into reliable datasets for analytics, reporting, and machine learning using modern data stack tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Use dbt (Data Build Tool) to develop modular, testable, and documented data transformation models.
- Develop and manage workflows using Apache Airflow for scheduling and orchestrating data pipelines.
- Build and maintain data warehouse models (star/snowflake schemas).
- Optimize SQL queries and transformation logic for performance and cost efficiency.
- Implement data quality checks, tests, and monitoring.
- Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to understand data requirements.
- Ensure proper documentation, version control, and deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and ensure high data availability.
- Implement CI/CD practices for data pipelines.
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency in SQL
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool)
- Experience with Apache Airflow
- Programming in Python
- Experience with modern data warehouses such as:
- Snowflake
- Google BigQuery
- Amazon Redshift.
