Title: Network Engineer L2 Location: Alpharetta, GA Duration: Contract Job Description: Network build and implementation, troubleshooting and testing of customer engineering projects based on the agreed scope and requirements. Comprehensive knowledge of Network & Security technologies and protocols. Experienced to various network project implementation for LAN/WAN, F5 LTM/GTM/Viprion and Firewall security. Provide hardware / software / network problem diagnosis / resolution via telephone/email/chat for customer's end users Administer, troubleshoot and manage network devices. Use the Service management system to document and manage projects/service request and their respective resolutions. Firewall integration and security rules creation. LAN/WAN upgrade for Data Center and CDN/RDN sites. Application service integration on F5 LTM/GTM & Viprion(vCMP guest) Cisco Router/Switch and F5 device(LTM/GTM/vCMP) firmware upgrade. 3rd Party Connectivity through VPN. Device commissioning and decommissioning. Principal Accountabilities Providing complete presentation to business CAB management team for all change Management activities in Network infrastructure. Change implementation and being a point of escalation for the solutions given and to interact with customer as technical representative to ensure that the requirements are understood and delivered with appropriate solution. Work closely with customer for network & security engineering tasks for development/implementation projects. To maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles. Prepare SOP and KB articles for the reference of team members. To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with network issues. Knowledge retention actively participate in documentation of technical procedures. Projects: perform effectively as project leader or project team member as required for network related projects and internal assignments. Training: Be willing to participate in on the job and commercial training designed to enhance skills and support capabilities. Follow defined staffing schedule. Ensure all the KPI's are met through following standard processes and procedures. Knowledge, Skills & Experience 4-5 Years experience: CCNA/ CCNP/ Load Balancer F5 /Security-Checkpoint Understanding of Cisco switches/routers Comprehensive knowledge on Load Balancer, DNS and firewall security Knowledge on AWS, GCP, Multi-cloud connecter, ACI In-depth knowledge of each layer of the OSI model. Good working knowledge of WAN, MAN, and LAN both from a transport and protocol level. IP address management and assignment Network tools Management for optimization Routing protocol implementation, modification and troubleshoot Implementation of enterprise data networks. Working Knowledge of Load Balancers Working Knowledge of Cisco Nexus switches (Cisco 7K/5K/2K Configuring of VPC and VDC IEEE802.1Q Trunking, Ether-Channel. Configuring OSPF areas/ EIGRP/ RIP / BGP Configuring Route filters using prefix and distribute lists. Configuring Static, Dynamic NAT and PAT. Configuring GRE/IPSEC Tunnels Configuring AAA/TACACS on Cisco routers Configure DNS, DHCP Backup and restore of Cisco IOS through a TFTP server Performing password recovery on Cisco Devices Monitoring Cisco Devices for performance issues Configuring and Troubleshooting MPLS network OOB connectivity. QOS, Traffic shaping and bandwidth assurance Working Knowledge of connectivity solutions through MPLS-VRF Working of any Network Management System (BigPanda, NOC Dasboard etc Working knowledge of Security products such as CheckPoint, ASA55XX, IDS, IPS Understand the network management Tools and pull device/WAN link utilization reports using the tools Able to administer/troubleshoot the Network Management tools. Strong written and oral communication skills required. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Strong problem resolution, judgment and decision making skills required. Experience in vendor co-ordination Experience in ITIL processes management Exposure on SDWAN and SDN network technologies Dimensions Ability to successfully provide hardware/software/network problem analysis and resolution support.
