Analyst ? Data Visualization The Role The role?s primary objective is to improve the visual quality of our analytics dashboards, with the goal of improving usability and user experience. In this role, you will be providing support to the Analytics team in the specific area of data visualization and dashboard design, comprising: ? Using Tableau as your primary data visualization tool ? Providing advice on data visualization and user experience enhancements and solutions in a variety of format: verbal communication, demos and mock-ups, and dashboard development ? Partnering with the project teams to draw out meaning in the metrics and enhance the story-telling capability in all dashboards ? Providing hands-on dashboard development support where possible ? it does mean, at times, developing parts of the dashboard yourself ? Applying creativity and design best practice and principles in all that you do ? Researching on innovative solutions and new techniques for data visualization and dashboard design.
About You ? You are most likely a data analyst with around 1-3 years of experience working in either a dedicated analytics team or as a data analyst within a broader business function (e.g. Finance, Sales, HR) ? You have basic skills in SQL and some experience in building dashboards, using one or more of the following tools: Excel, Tableau (preferred), Power BI, etc. ? BONUS: if you have any background or training in graphic or web design, it would be an advantage ? You are passionate about bringing data stories to light, and you particularly LOVE being creative and creating impact with your visualizations ? You understand the important role of visual design in determining user experience ? You put quality above all else and take pride in your work and deliverables ? Ultimately, skills are not as important as mindset and personal drive in this role. You should be someone who actively looks for opportunities to learn new tools, new ways of doing things that challenge convention, and apply your creativity.
