Job Title: Web Designer / Web Content Manager Location: Atlanta, GA Duration: 3 Months Note: Selected candidates need to be on board Onsite. They need to pick their on- boarding documents and equipment manually. No expenses will be paid for travelling Job Description: Contractor (single point-of-contact) for the development and management of webpage content, design, layout, and scheme for agency and/or division sites. Contractor would work with IT and Communications staff (and divisions) to ensure consistent, accurate and professional content and design. This position is critical to ensuring that the current website/web pages remain relevant, up-to-date, and aesthetically friendly. Duties/Functions: Contractor also would use/rely on Site Improve software and Google Analytics to track and monitor website content and work with Communications/IT to provide updates and reduce errors, such as missing information, broken links and non-functioning PDFs; perform audits outside of site improvement functions, including identifying inaccurate information, incorrect photos, outdated pages and/or content, etc. A key function also would be to work with Communications to ensure content aligns with strategic goals and agency s vision and mission. Other responsibilities are as follow: Work with Communications/IT to coordinate web projects across divisions Collaborate with division staff/Communications on content development, including videos, podcasts, Design projects Track and report on all site metrics Keep current with emerging web technologies through relevant blogs, listservs, and events Assure web-based information is archived for future needs and reference Goals: A primary goal would be to collaborate with the Communications team to develop a comprehensive online/website improvement plan/strategy. A secondary goal would be to meet 80% accuracy (for website/web pages) rate by fiscal year end and 95 percent accuracy by fiscal year end 2022. Contractor would work with Communications and content editors to identify and determine web pages to delete or merge and institute a quarterly auditing and review process that improves accuracy and up-to-date website content. This process would prepare divisions/staff for a future website redesign. Additionally, the contractor would work with Communications and IT to revamp/redesign website/webpages. This is TBD, following an assessment of site and the identification of goals. Skills and Required Experience: Motivated, Energetic, Dedicated, Reliable and a Self-Starter Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or a related field Proven track record of producing quality work Must have working knowledge of SharePoint, HTML, Site Improve and content management systems (Minimum of 3 years of experience using SharePoint and 5 years managing content and production for High traffic websites) Experience using Meta tags, SEO tools, and Google Analytics Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Must have proficiency in A e Creative Suite (graphic and video design skills); photography and Videography (shooting and editing); Experience in managing YouTube Channel Basic writing, copy-editing, and proof-reading skills Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively within a cross-departmental team Required/Desired Skills Skill Matrix Skill Matrix Technology Years of Experience Overall IT Experience Communication (1 - 10) SharePoint Content Contributor, Site Improve and content management systems HTML A e Creative Suite (graphic and video design skills) YouTube Channel Management Managing content and production for high traffic websites Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, Graphic Design, or a related field Videography (shooting and editing) Experience using meta tags, SEO tools, and Google Analytics
