Job Title : Senior .NET Software Engineer

Position Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting loss prevention and security-focused software systems. This role involves working on a suite of investigative applications, with a focus on building scalable, secure, and cloud-native solutions. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in C#, .NET Core, Azure cloud services, and Kafka-based streaming architectures. You will be instrumental in delivering modern engineering solutions that enhance data pipelines, microservices, and security systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement secure, scalable systems for investigative and loss prevention applications.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and services.
- Architect and manage real-time data streaming pipelines using Apache Kafka and Confluent Kafka, including stream processing and integration.
- Build and optimize microservices architecture for high-availability environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and proactively resolve Kafka messaging issues.
- Analyze and address system performance, scalability, and reliability challenges.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to plan features aligned with business goals.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers in engineering best practices.
- Create and maintain comprehensive unit and integration test coverage.
- Deploy services in a cloud-native environment using Azure, Docker, and related tools.
- Contribute to ongoing architectural discussions and software improvements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience with C# and the .NET Framework.
- 4+ years of experience with .NET Core.
- 4+ years of experience with Azure Cloud Services.
- 4+ years of experience developing and scaling distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Confluent Kafka and event-driven architecture.
- Experience working with microservices and containerized applications.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC best practices.
- Familiar with security and compliance standards for enterprise software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years working within a microservices architecture.
- Experience deploying applications using Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated success in cloud-based, event-driven systems design.
- A collaborative mindset with a “can-do” attitude and leadership qualities.
- Experience in mentoring teams and promoting engineering excellence.
