Job Description :
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: (Required)
The Department of Information Resources (DIR) requires the services of 1 Security Analyst 2 hereafter referred to as Worker,
who meets the general qualification of Security Analyst 2 - Emerging and the specifications outlined in this document for
[Customer Name].
Lead over area performing security access management for network, database, applications and mainframe. Overall
responsibility to ensure prevention of work loss due to access or role provisioning and ensuring timely and accurate deprovisioning
to prevent unauthorized access due to account termination or job role change. Daily oversight and management
of ticket queue and staff to ensure timely and correct completion of requests and incidents. Develop and run
daily/weekly/monthly metrics to ensure quality and completion of services. Handle escalations and drive for completion by
coordinating with other teams. Create, review and maintain process and procedures with continual drive for service
improvement following security best practices. Audit team’s performance and provide corrective action when necessary.
Provides direct support for access administration (provisioning, de-provisioning, access control and reviews, etc. Define Role
Based Access Controls (RBAC) and assist with the implementation and ongoing maintenance to support role based access.
Provide access support to end users on a variety of IT systems. Identify, research and resolve IT technical problems related to
access or roles. Respond to Business Users telephone calls and email request/tickets for service. Maintains confidentiality
regarding investigations requests or findings. Run daily/weekly/monthly compliance and audit reports and act on appropriately.
Conduct annual review & audit of all access criteria and work with area of responsibility to update or create new access
criteria. Availability for on-call or response to Priority 1 or Priority 2 incidents related to access management. Monitor
mainframe violations for potential abuses and investigate.

5 - Knowledgeable of security best practices and Texas state requirements
5 - Manager or lead work experience in security
5 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
