Job Requirements
- Participate in setting a vision and objectives for the team in alignment with business and technical needs
- Tech PM will be responsible for the entire delivery of a large and complex Data Warehousing project in Agile-based delivery model.
- The consultant must high proficiency in Cloud based data projects using tools such as Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Atlassian, Geo Spatial, PowerBI, Python, etc.
- The Tech PM must be expert in Data Architecture design and guiding the technical team to successfully deliver projects.
- Must have deep expertise in solving complex business problems using Data engineering and Analytics.
- Must have worked with all levels of customer and partner network including PMs/SMEs/ CIOs/CTOs to define requirements, get approvals, etc.
- Must be proficient in working with partners like Snowflake, Microsoft, and other cloud service providers.
- Must possess strong communication, presentation, financial management, relationship management, analytical, and problem-solving skills across all levels of customer and partner network
- Must have 7 years of experience in scope management, change management, managing Agile teams, schedule and delivery management of data projects.
- Must have 7 years of in Risk and issue management
- Tech PM will work closely with many teams for our customer on implementation as the project owner.
- Must be proficient with data integration, enterprise data engagement and governance policy, goals, standards, practices, processes, and change management.
- Must provide technical leadership to project team to perform design to deployment related activities, provide guidance, perform reviews, prevent and resolve technical issues.
- Serve as a liaison between the client and delivery team to ensure that all project requirements are clearly defined, communicated, and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning.
- Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
- Consults with Business SME to identify and define the Critical data elements.
- Implement and enforce data policies and standards and monitor compliance
- Also responsible for daily management of the project such as investigation & resolving issues
- Monitors project quality, defines project quality targets, identifies issues and initiates quality improvement.
- Must ensure the efficiency of architecture, design, development, and implementation of a large-scale Data Warehouse that process large volume of data; focusing on scalability, latency, and efficiency, high product quality for production.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Ideally 10+ years of experience in the data industry with 5+ years towards client management at large multi-business unit organizations
- Ideally 5+ years of Transportation industry experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Project Management and managing client delivery.
- Strong sense of ownership, focus on quality, team orientation, design thinking, responsiveness, efficiency and innovation
- Ability to work with globally distributed teams in a collaborative and productive manner
- Several years of working in developing Enterprise/Information Architecture with a deep understanding of data architecture, data modelling, master data management, metadata management, data warehousing, and related fields
- Experience working with Data in excess of 20-25 TB
- Deep understanding of the design and development of data architectures and data models
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to understand business concepts and use cases
- Strong communication and consulting skills to drive solution finding and being able to explain even complex topics in a simple and understandable manner
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in enterprise data management, data governance practices, and data quality principles and methodologies.
- Direct involvement and technical leadership in the end-to-end Date Warehousing projects
- Ability to adapt to change and to detect and respond to evolving business needs
- Experience in stakeholder, organizational and change management
- Ability to interact with all levels of an organization, including senior leadership/management
- Excellent verbal and written English skills
