Summary/Basic Skills Needed :

· Technical writing experience in Retail, Supply Chain, and IT areas

JOB SUMMARY:
Creates a variety of informational products, such as user guides, help systems, job aides, process diagrams, and training materials for our customers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Collaborates with cross-functional teams and IT leaders to write instructions on new processes and procedures to assist users in learning how to use software programs, troubleshoot problems, or increase job knowledge.
· Creates form from concept to completion, evaluates effectiveness of instructional design and makes suggestions for instruction improvement to produce high-quality documentation deliverables including work instructions, manuals, how to, online help, knowledge management, and CBT’s that meet applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience and purpose.
· Gather customer requirements and complete a user/ task analysis to determine audience level, design, and appropriate delivery methods.
· Lead the technical writing effort on projects as assigned and as needed. This includes attending project meetings, recommending documentation and training solutions, coordinating work efforts with other team members, and providing status updates.
· Develop and maintain Learning Management System (LMS

SCOPE & IMPACT:
This role is a Technical Writer in I. T. and supports all technical writing system needs across the organization. The position will provide technical writing to both internal IT systems and systems identified as business mission critical.

MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, or Journalism or related field with 4-6 years of relevant experience, or equivalent.
· 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience

PREFERED REQUIREMENTS:
· Proficiency in technical writing software, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, creating computer based training
