Job Title: Power BI Lead Experience: 12+ Years Location: Lansing, MI Employment Type: Contract
Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports.
Create data models, DAX measures, and visualizations to support business insights and decision-making.
Optimize reports for performance, scalability, and usability.
Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, ServiceNow, Salesforce, JIRA, Excel, SharePoint, Azure, and APIs.
Build and manage automated workflows to streamline repetitive tasks and approval processes.
Integrate Power Automate flows with Office 365, Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and other third-party systems.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize flow performance to ensure reliability.
Design and develop custom business applications using canvas and model-driven apps.
Implement role-based security, data validation rules, and responsive user interfaces.
Connect applications to Dataverse, SharePoint, SQL, and other connectors.
Maintain, support, and enhance existing Power Apps solutions.
Participate in designing AI-based solutions leveraging Agentic AI, Generative AI for analytics, and AI Builder capabilities.
Integrate AI outputs and predictive insights into Power BI dashboards.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define solutions, and deliver high-quality outcomes.
Ensure all solutions meet security, compliance, and scalability standards.
Provide end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support.
Stay updated with Power Platform enhancements, new features, and best practices.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent professional experience.
12+ years of total IT experience with 3+ years of hands-on experience working with Power BI, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling.
Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 and Azure ecosystem.
Experience integrating data from APIs and external data sources.
Hands-on experience with Power Virtual Agents, Dataverse, and AI Builder.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
