IT Technical Product Owner

Duration: 12-month initial contract (possible to extend)

Location: Dallas, TX 75201


MOI: Phone & Video interview with end client


The Product Owner (PO) is focused on long- and short-term vision of the product, harmonizing internal business partners’ interests with IT delivery, and representing the product to the stakeholder. The PO closely works with our internal business partners to develop a roadmap of solutions needed to support key business processes. The PO then prioritizes the request backlog and translates requirements into user stories for a world-class team of software engineers and business systems analysts.



Responsibilities:

Develop, deliver, and groom a product roadmap.
Be the liaison between stakeholders and engineering
gather requirements, negotiate scope, communicate timelines.
keep stakeholders updated with status through various forms of communication
Owns the delivery of user stories, story pointing and acceptance criteria that represents the requirements provided by the business.
Works with the scrum team in agile ceremonies, planning and execution of their work.
Work with business and IT stakeholders to prioritize work to be delivered by the delivery teams.
Work directly with software engineers, Business System Analyst, and system specialists on product delivery
Communicate effectively and appropriately with business and technical peers (written and verbal)
Works with multiple business, IT and Product stakeholders.
Work very comfortably with stakeholders at the department or division level
Review architectural solutions, understand the solution and be able to estimate, plan and deliver
Work proactively on customer issues and resolves them in a timely manner
Able to balance planned vs unplanned work.


Experience/Skills Required:

3+ years’ experience as a developer using a continuous delivery pipeline.
2+ years’ experience as a product owner.
Must understand all the phases of CI/CD.
Experience with Agile/SCRUM techniques.
Experience with Jenkins, code repositories and artifact repositories.
Must have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on technology strategies
Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Excellent spoken and written communication as well as receptive listening skills, with ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to technical and non-technical audiences.
Excellent team player able to work with virtual and global cross functional teams.
Excellent influencing and negotiation skills.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks. Demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques required.
Ability to work with deadlines and in a fast-paced environment
Bachelor’s Degree in a computer science field.
Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure.
Experience with Nexus, SauceLabs, GitHub or Grafana.
Knowledge of Salesforce Enterprise applications including scratchOrgs and MetaData.
Knowledge of web applications, databases (preferably Oracle), SQL, and Java
Strong knowledge in information technology architecture components, principles, procedures, and practices.
The candidate should have a computer science background with Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery experience. This is for a Technical Product Owner role.
