Some of the expected activities:
- Tableau Server Administration:
o Configure built-in alerts and incidents to notify you of events and thresholds
o Identify background task success/failure and job queueing, slow workbooks, disk usage, and license allocations
o Create custom administrative views from repository data
o Set custom data-driven alerts to help organization's policies and goals
o Troubleshoot problems with Tableau Server logs
o Resolving the outstanding Tableau server issues
o Manage Tableau Upgrades
o Server failure management, restarts and test server management
o Ensure backup are running
o Post-Server patching tests – confirm reports functionality, confirm instances are up & working, Etc.
- Tableau Site Administration:
o create and manage the site’s users and groups
o create projects to organize content on the site, and assign permissions
o promote and certify content and measure the use of analytics within their site
