Job Title : Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Architect

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Architect to join our team in a fully onsite role in Chicago. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), and Dynatrace, along with a strong leadership background. This role requires someone who can architect scalable systems while driving reliability and operational excellence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient cloud architectures on AWS.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS.
- Leverage Dynatrace to proactively monitor application performance and resolve issues.
- Lead and mentor a team of Site Reliability Engineers, promoting best practices and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with software development teams to embed reliability into the development lifecycle.
- Define and track Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
- Conduct post-incident reviews and implement root cause fixes to enhance system resilience.
- Build automation tools to streamline operations and reduce manual workloads.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 14+ years of experience in SRE or related roles, with a strong architectural focus on AWS.
- Expertise in Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS.
- Deep proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.
- Hands-on experience with Dynatrace for application and infrastructure monitoring.
- Solid understanding of cloud architecture best practices.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and ability to perform under pressure.
Note: Only candidates local to the Chicago area or willing to relocate will be considered, as this is a fully onsite position.
