Sr. ServiceNow Developer for the State of GA
Location: Atlanta GA
Duration: 12+ Months
Client: GA Tech

Georgia Tech seeks a Senior Developer to help configure and customization of platforms, using industry best practices. This developer will help Implement solutions using an agile development methodology to continuously deliver added value to the ServiceNow initiative.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and develop technical solutions accordingly
Provide software configuration, customization, and automation using best practices including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, integration, custom scripting and third-party software integrations in an agile development
Collaborate with internal UX Developers to ensure proposed and implemented solutions provide best-in-class user experience
Work with internal colleagues to design and implement integrations/data feeds/interfaces with other systems, including APIs, databases, monitoring tools, LDAP, etc.
Provide ongoing support, monitoring, and maintenance of deployed products, including prompt and courteous resolution of development-related service requests and/or incidents; Audit work and review peer work to ensure successful, technically sound projects
Collaborate with other developers to provide technical guidance and oversight where appropriate
Participate in the engineering community, staying up to date on new software technologies and best practices
Deploy update sets to production environment following defined change control processes
Complete development and testing tasks related to new platform updates/releases
Perform other related duties as assigned
Specialized Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable working directly with customers and stakeholders as needed Experience working with an Agile development methodology Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency in one of the following languages: JavaScript, C#, Java, or similar. Experience creating connected experiences using APIs, Web hooks, integrations, etc.
Experience with Web Development Technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SCSS/LESS, AngularJS, Bootstrap
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining integrations with external applications preferred Knowledge of technical components such as SOAP, REST, JSON, XML, SQL, JDBC, LDAP, VPN, SSL, and SSO Experience with workflow and workflow activity configuration Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees Ability to initiate knowledge sharing to develop colleagues Ability to develop effective implementation strategies, consistent with business needs and ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices
