Responsibilities
• Create GitOps based event-driven high performance pipelines and tooling to fully automate the software delivery process.
• Iterate on future proofing our Core Infrastructure and participate in on-call rotations.
• Work collaboratively with Consumer Banking developer communities.
• Tuning and optimization of Kafka brokers/clusters based on performance metrics
• Automate the Kafka lifecycle management of adding/removing/patching brokers in a cluster and restarting brokers without service disruption Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of relevant software engineering experience
• Experience in open-source development
• Experience building and running large scale, multi-tenant distributed data systems(Apache Kafka)
• Hands-on experience in managing life cycle of services on Kubernetes
• Experience in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, Azure with container orchestration technology like Kubernetes
• Good knowledge of networking(HTTP, TLS, DNS) to troubleshoot network issues
• Proficiency in more than one programming language(C++, Java, Golang, Python)
• Strong understanding of concurrency, memory management and runtimes |
