Job Title: SQL Database Programmer/Analyst Location: Denver, CO Duration: 5 Months Note: Selected candidates need to be on board Onsite. They need to pick their on- boarding documents and equipment manually. No expenses will be paid for travelling Job Description: This position is critical for supporting and standardizing data management work at the Department. This position has a unique level of expertise in designing, building, consolidating, and maintaining statewide data reporting systems. This position is critical to supporting the Permanent assignment of the Client Human Services to improve statewide Human Services performance by better connecting and analyzing performance data with county human service departments of human services throughout the state, as well as providing strategic data and analysis to inform Client Executive Management and offices on the direction of program performance. The position supports work that influences management decisions beyond the agency, such as within County Human Service departments. This position accesses performance data from many data systems across the Department, and designs and builds statewide data reporting systems which have a transformative impact on how the Department is able to assess and manage performance at the Executive Management level, at the program level, and at the county level. This position understands complex logic behind performance measures from diverse programs in the department and translates them into SQL code to extract performance data from many technical Client data systems and synthesizes the data into a standardized statewide reporting system Scope of Work: Years of demonstrated experience as an SQL developer and database administrator Years of demonstrated experience with data visualization and report creation Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Ability to interpret and analyze data Keen attention to detail Ability to collaborate and achieve consensus across work units and programs Excellent writing skills Excellent interpretation skills Excellent oral communication skills Excellent data analysis and reporting skills Excellent planning and organizing skills Three (3) years of professional experience as a developer or database administrator Advanced proficiency with SQL Exceptional proficiency with the following software/programs/IT solutions/platforms: Oracle Microsoft Access TOAD Data Point Microsoft SQL Server Has experience doing data quality assurance on large scale projects Minimum Requirements: Three (3) years of professional experience as a developer or database administrator Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Experience with TOAD Data Point Experience with Microsoft Excel Preferred experience Tableau Google Apps scripting Python Experience R Experience Salesforce Experience Required/Desired Skills Skill Matrix Skill Matrix Technology Years of Experience Overall IT Experience Communication (1 - 10) Google Apps scripting Microsoft Excel Python Experience R Experience - R Programming (Highly preferred) Salesforce Experience SQL developer Tableau TOAD Data Point
