Role: Solution Architect
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid)
End Client: Telecom client
· Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Engineering, Computer Science
· 10+ years related experience
· BSS software architect will have 7+ years’ experience with service provider BSS
· Preference for experience with Wireless service providers.
· Bonus points for experience with MSO systems.
Exposure and knowledge of TM Forum eTOM/SID and TAM models desired but not required.
· Core Responsibilities Gathers and understands Product needs, finding key areas where technology leverage is possible to improve business process; defines architectural approaches and develops technology proofs. Communicates technology direction.
· Work with product, business and operations personnel to ensure that features, process flows, and policies are crafted to ensure they are in-line with the target architecture and systems capabilities. Ensure requirements are well understood and documented.
· Design solutions to satisfy business, product & operational requirements in near- and long-term timelines. Collaborates with the system vendor and vets the systems design.
· Presents solutions to senior architects.
· Elaboration of Features and Functional user stories is done according to schedule.
· Must define well thought thorough interfaces and ensure adherence to interface agreements.
· Supporting estimation and planning for epics/stories and feature delivery
· Ensures solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule. Interfaces with other Architects and teams owning different functional areas to ensure that most efficient solution is designed and agreed to meet business needs; ensures timelines are met.
· Develops, documents, and ensures compliance with best practices including but not limited to the following: object-oriented design, platform and framework specific design concerns, and human interface guidelines.
· Tracks and documents requirements for enterprise development projects and enhancements.
