Title: Software Engineer Duration: 6 Months + Location: McLean, Virginia Job Description As a Software Engineer on our team, you will be designing and delivering internal products that support strategic decision making by providing powerful analysis capabilities to the Enterprise. You will: Be a part of an Agile Product Development team that delivers high quality software according to project timelines, quality, and requirements. Perform code reviews and approval of Pull Requests to ensure adherence to good software design practices and Architecture strategy intent. Participate in stakeholder meetings, scoping, and decision making. Participate in production issue investigation Evangelize your team's software across the organization to drive adoption. Required: At least 1 years of experience on development on backend for Web application, based most likely on NodeJS server, however Python, java or look-alike languages for backend side can qualify. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in modern backend microservices or full stack software engineering using JavaScript or Python. Experience with micro-services architecture and implementation Experience in implementing scalable and resilient cloud applications and platform services in AWS Experience with SQL Databases - Postgres, MySQL, and if possible some NoSQL database and ORM for JavaScript like Bookshelf or Sequeelize Experience with Jenkins or other CI/CD tooling Experience with Git and GitHub code repository tools Experience developing Architectural work products (such as architectural diagrams and design documents) Active contributor to a relevant open source project. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree or Military experience At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer
