Roles & Responsibilities:
1) Requirements review - collaboration with analysts to update requirements where needed.
2) Triage defects and report on defect impacts.
3) Troubleshoot defects /non defects for functional area of expertise that are blocking test progress.
4) Subject Matter Expert in at least 1 functional area per application the tester works on.
5) Write test cases from a variety of documentation types.
6) Applies test expertise and experience to execute test plans, conduct negative/exception tests, verification, performance and regression testing, and UAT testing.
7) Full understanding of all aspects of Defect lifecycle.
8) Understanding of structured SDLC environment.
• Write test cases for each requirement defined in our solution.
• Work with developers and Product Owners to define and align on user story Acceptance Criteria to understand all test scenarios.
• Establish QA release entrance and exit criteria.
• Interpret and implement quality assurance standards and procedures.
• Document Test Cases and results; effectively communicate test results to developers and stakeholders.
• Develop, recommend, and monitor corrective and preventive actions to reduce defects.
• Prepare reports to communicate outcomes of quality activities
• Prioritize and track defects and issues correctly and recommend corrective action where required.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing.
