Senior QA Engineering Manager
Position Summary
The Senior QA Engineering Manager leads the Quality Assurance function for complex software, systems, or product environments. This role ensures end-to-end quality strategy, oversees test planning and automation, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Define and own the overall QA strategy, frameworks, and standards.Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers (manual, automation, and performance).Architect, implement, and scale automation frameworks and CI/CD test pipelines.Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and quality metrics.Collaborate with product, development, and operations teams to ensure high-quality releases.Conduct root-cause analysis on defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.Drive process improvement through Agile/Scrum, DevOps, and shift-left testing practices.
Required Skills & Experience
10–15 years of QA engineering experience, including team leadership.Strong expertise in test automation (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.).Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).Solid understanding of software development, SDLC, Agile, and DevOps practices.Strong knowledge of API testing, performance testing, and security testing concepts.Proficiency with bug tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr)Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).ISTQB Advanced or equivalent certification.Experience with AI/ML testing or data-intensive applications.
