Reasonable accommodations for medical and religious objections will of course be considered.Keep reading to learn more about this opportunity to join the Cox family of businesses.Cox Automotive is currently looking for a Senior Manager with 10+ years of experience to join our team in Atlanta, GA.The Senior Manager, Software Engineering - Oracle Business Intelligence is responsible for overseeing the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) solution and software/data engineering team at Cox Automotive. This position is accountable for driving structure, organization, platform knowledge, functional analysis, solution design, and quality outcomes. The Senior Manager provides leadership for software/data/platform/test engineers and their interaction across the entire software development lifecycle with both technical and business focus. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills combined with the flexibility of working in a dynamic, agile environment.The Senior Manager will have hands-on experience with the Oracle Business Intelligence Application functionality and its configuration to support stakeholder requirements. Additionally, this person has a background of designing custom data warehouse objects and reporting solutions to support business needs. The individual will rely on deep application and business process knowledge as well as prior implementation experience to make sound technical design decisions to plan and accomplish goals.*Job Responsibilities:*- Manages software/platform/data/test engineers responsible for the Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition platform.- Partners with Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), other delivery teams, and Architecture teams to collaborate on platform solutions and direction.- Collaborates with architecture and software engineering to evangelize best practices defined by Oracle, Architecture, and Software Development disciplines.- Partners with Product Owners to understand their needs and develop innovative solution options that balance timeliness, scope, complexity, and cost.- Provides guidance and assists in design efforts of the Oracle Business Intelligence Applications platform to modify and add new functionality to OBIEE modules, including designing functional specifications for ETL, Reporting Metadata, and Dashboards / Reports.- Provides subject matter expertise in surrounding tools/technology areas including Oracle E-Business Suites, Oracle Revenue Management & Billing, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, WebLogic, and DevOps practices.- Performs work and partnership within an Agile development team and fosters a team mindset with all delivery team members to work towards shared goals and objectives. Understands Agile software methodology and tools.- Develops a deep understanding of Cox Automotive applications and their interdependencies with Oracle source applications, customers, and business processes within the areas they support.- Liaise at a management level between Application Development, Engineering, Architecture, Product Owners, Release Management, and Operations as needed to ensure team coordination, synergy, and successful project delivery.- Hire (as needed), lead, coach, mentor, and develop all Software/Data Engineering resources utilizing development plans, performance notes, or any other approved HR tools. Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.- 10+ years of information technology experience.- 5+ years of experience working with Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Platform & Oracle Business Intelligence Application (OBIA) expertise including: - Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (OBIA) - OBIEE specific Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) - Oracle Business Analytics Warehouse (OBAW) - Financial Analytics` - Procurement & Spend Analytics - Project Analytics - Supply Chain & Order Management Analytics - Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher - Analytical SQL functions and PL SQL/SQL expertise - Experience with Oracle E-Business Suites; Oracle Revenue Management and Billing source systems - Experience with Oracle Managed Cloud Services / Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Hosted Solutions - Expertise with Kimball methodology of Data Warehousing: - Prior management experience required with a track record of leading and growing teams - Experience operating in a Scaled Agile delivery framework and working in an Agile delivery model on a Scrum team.- Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills- Excellent soft skills, including interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout the organization- Proven ability to collaborate across integrated teams to deliver quality solutions*Competencies: *- Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Communicate equally well with business owners, customers, and technology professionals.- Proven track record of achieving success in a dynamic, fast-paced software development environment. - Ability to innovate new and unique approaches without guidance from others- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities, make appropriate solution decisions quickly, and be co-located with their team to ensure accessibility by the team- Ability to rapidly learn new technologies- ITIL and/or DevOps background is a plus- Experience with Rally Agile software is a plus*Work Environment: *- Ability to work in a "team-first" mentality where teams swarm on objectives and success is determined at the team, rather than individual level- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines within specified time constraints - Ability to adapt to changes in assigned work tasks, duties, and priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment- Flex Forward - a flexible approach that will evolve as we learn new ways of working together with a focus on the customer and employee experience of the future.
