Job Description :

Network Management & Operational Support:

  • Responsible for technical support and administration of critical infrastructure network components (e.g., firewalls, proxy servers, routers, etc).
  • Maintain and operate systems and services associated with telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Provides 3rd tier support in analyzing, diagnosing and resolving problems.
  • Work closely with other IT groups to ensure systems are maintained in an efficient manner, and communicate all issues, changes, outages, and maintenance in accordance with processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Participates in developing, recommending, and establishing policies and procedures as needed.

Minimum experience:

·         Expert level knowledge in Palo Alto firewall

  • Experience with implementing firewall rules in Palo Alto Firewalls

·         Palo Alto certification

  • Experience configuring Cisco Firewalls (ASA and Firepower)
  • Experience configuring Cisco AnyConnect VPN, RSA and Client A deep understanding of the cyber security environment including network and/or application security issues, concepts, compliance, and certification
  • Demonstrated experience deploying, configuring, and administering the full suite of services provided by F5 BIG-IP or Palo Alto firewalls
  • Experience with F5 operations such as VIP creation
  • Experience with security/compliance monitoring tools and reporting
  • Experience with monitoring or data collection/analysis tools
  • Experience or knowledge of DNS or DHCP
  • 10+ years’ experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge of OSI Model
  • Understanding of Layer 7 firewalls
  • Understanding of subnetting and general networking concepts
  • Knowledge of operating or network systems and maintenance support
  • Ability to perform preventative and remedial maintenance to operating system
  • Ability to evaluate existing and proposed systems and recommend upgrades and/or modifications
  • Knowledge of system management and security/control procedures
  • Able to follow and update documented operations procedures
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Able to work and communicate across multiple departments
  • Ability to work as part of a team
