Job Description: Network Engineer (SD-WAN & Security)
Location: Mount Laurel, NJ
This role focuses on the design, testing, and architecture of Secure Net products for mid-market clients. You will serve as a subject matter expert in Versa SD-WAN and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFW). This position is a long-term contract based in Mount Laurel, NJ, requiring a hands-on presence in the lab 4 days a week.
Job Duties
Lead solution design and requirements gathering for Secure Net product offerings.
Perform hardware and firmware testing for Versa SD-WAN and firewall solutions.
Provide Tier 4 operational support for complex security and connectivity escalations.
Develop technical documentation for network configurations and deployment standards.
Manage a 50/50 split between Secure Net and LTE/5G connectivity initiatives.
Skills
Expert-level experience with Versa SD-WAN and Next-Gen Firewalls.
Proficiency in core protocols including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and DHCP.
Background in network architecture and design with 3 - 5 years of experience.
Ability to configure secure VPNs and failover redundancy systems.
Familiarity with Python, Ansible, or REST APIs for network automation.
