Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Embedded Engineer / Senior Digital Electronic Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components and systems. You will utilize engineering design software and equipment to perform your tasks. Your expertise in electrical engineering principles will be crucial in accomplishing project goals. You may also be involved in activities such as fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of electrical or electromechanical products and systems. This position works under general supervision and follows pre-established guidelines.

Responsibilities:

Prioritize safety and follow all safety rules and regulations.

Design, develop, build, and test high-quality printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic systems.

Conduct initial hardware testing and board bring-up.

Design and develop around microcontrollers (MCUs) and ARM microcontrollers.

Develop instrumentation peripherals.

Fabricate and test prototype systems, documenting design modifications as necessary.

Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams for board and product development.

Apply engineering methodology and procedures in design and development projects according to company standard operating procedures.

Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.

Perform additional general duties as assigned.

Possess good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong knowledge of system-level architecture, including experience with multiple board systems.

Proficiency in mixed signal designs.

Ability to translate requirements into physical systems.

Experience with PCBA CAD tools.

Positive "can-do" attitude.

Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail, leading by example.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong work ethic with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

Proactive and able to work independently.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

M.S. in Electrical Engineering and/or 10 years of relevant experience.

Experience with embedded software (firmware) and hardware.

Fluent in C/C++ programming languages.

Familiarity with OrCAD / Allegro software.

Knowledge of regulatory approval requirements (EMI/EMC) for market release.

Proven track record in instrumentation.

Proven track record in releasing designs to production.

Project management experience.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 10 years of experience in a related field; or equivalent.
