Senior Cloud Engineer (REMOTE)
What we are looking for:
· Proven tech leadership skills with strong communication skills.
· Critical thinking skills: ability to help design solutions as well as debug issues across a wide variety of Azure cloud services
· Very experienced with data models, data modeling and architecting data lake solutions in Azure using standard Azure stack (ADLS Gen2, ADF, ADB, Synapse, etc…)
· Demonstrated experience architecting big data solutions over a variety of tech stacks (Azure, HDFS, RDBMS)
· Experienced with building data solutions in the cloud and applying CI/CD best practices to manage
· Prior experience using Azure DevOps to build CI/CD processes for release management of a data-centric project
· Very experienced in all areas of the SDLC, including Agile delivery methodologies
· Comfortable communicating with multiple levels of enterprise: able to communicate with business and report directly to C-level
· Prior experience automating creation of ARM deployments for Azure using YAML
· Proficient in Python or Scala
· Can speak to best practices in a micro services architecture
· Experience with Azure DevOps Suite (Azure Pipelines, repos, git, etc..)
· Experience working in an Agile environment, participating in scrum activities and sprinting activities, including sprint planning, story pointing, etc…
Nice to have:
· A degree in Computer Science or related area
· Azure Certifications
· Working knowledge of at least one IaC scripting language
· Experience working with distributed team
