Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Business Analyst Lead to
join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is a visionary problem solver who can comprehend the entirety of complex projects, translate business requirements into actionable stories, and provide leadership to a team of business analysts. The Senior Business Analyst Lead will play a pivotal role increating a structured framework for story creation, mentoring internal staff,and ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Understanding: The Senior Business Analyst Lead will have the crucial responsibility of grasping the overarching goals and objectives of projects, enabling the translation of business needs into actionable technical stories. They will maintain a holistic view of projects, ensuring alignment between business requirements and technical implementations.

  • Story Creation and Ticketing: This role requires the ability to create well-defined and structured stories, encompassing various types such as epics, features, enhancements, and bugs. The Senior Business Analyst Lead will be adept at crafting detailed design and development stories, facilitating seamless
     communication between the business and development teams.

  • Structural Framework: The successful candidate will establish a standardized process for story creation, introducing best practices for different story types. They willset up a clear structure that ensures consistency, clarity, and efficiency in documenting requirements, aiding in streamlined project execution.

  • Training and Mentoring: With at least 5 years of senior-level experience, the Senior Business Analyst
     Lead will take on a mentorship role. They will guide and train internal staff in the art of effective story writing, fostering skill development and knowledge transfer. The goal is to build a capable team that can
     autonomously manage story creation and communication.

  • Leadership and Transition: As a leader in the business analysis realm, the Senior Business Analyst Lead will collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess and prepare the internal staff for assuming greater responsibilities. They will work towards a smooth transition of tasks, ensuring the teams continued success and growth.

  • Tool Proficiency: The candidate should possess familiarity with tools such as Aha! for product
     roadmap and planning, as well as Microsoft Azure environments for project execution and collaboration. Proficiency in these tools will aid in effective communication and documentation.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or  a related field.
     
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in senior business analyst roles, with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
     
  • Strong familiarity with story creation methodologies, including epics, features, enhancements, and bugs.
     
  • Proficiency in utilizing tools like Aha! for roadmap planning and Microsoft Azure for project execution.
     
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to bridge the gap between business and  technical teams.
     
  • Leadership and mentoring abilities, demonstrated through experience in guiding and training junior team members.
     
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to understand complex business challenges.
     
  • Ability to think strategically and connect individual tasks to broader project goals.
