Job Description :
Role – Security Architect
Duration – 12+ months (Long Term)
Location – Austin, TX 78701 (Remote during Covid)

Local candidates are highly preferred for submission

The essential duties for this contract include:

Creates, reviews, edits, and advise on multiple contracts to ensure alignment with Client and DIR security requirements.
Manages multi-project management accountabilities in developing and architecting solutions in a collaborative environment.
Architects solutions across multiple hardware/software computing environment and system components.
Oversees and participates in the development of enterprise level strategies and technical information security direction.
Oversees and participates in the development of enterprise-wide architectural vision to appropriately align information
Ensures appropriate information security standards and procedures are defined.
Coordinates the implementation of security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors.
Performs and reviews technical risk assessments and reviews of new and existing applications and systems, including data center physical security and environment.
Researches, evaluates and recommends systems and procedures for the prevention, detection, containment, and correction of data security breaches.


Minimum (Required):

7 years - Experience in one or more of the following security frameworks: NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and Texas Information Security Standards

7 years - Experience working with contract development, creation and review against NIST RMF security requirements

5 years - Experience in system development using analysis, design, and documentation methodologies

5 years - Conducting risk and security assessments using the Risk Management Framework, including evaluating vendor compliance with the RMF

5 years - Working with Operations and Infrastructure Information Technology components to identify how to track compliance levels and resolve issues surrounding configuration management, parch management, inventory management.

Must have strong RFP and Security contract drafting experience.

Need someone who will work with CISO and his leads on some high level contract discussions and development
Strong Contract Development – Preferred in State
For Multi-Million Dollar projects
Strong in security and risk framework
Taking clients Security controls and taking it into plane language. Take a “patching Statement” and make that communicate clearly into a RFP –Contractually Statement
Need someone who can represent CISO
Long term – multi year. Become embedded in the project.
