SDET Lead
Contract
Rockville, MD

Must have demonstrated Lead experience overseeing 10+ SDETs in Apache Spark, Big Data, and Data Analytics environment.
Position Description:
· The main function of the SDET will be to design, develop, test, and implement Java applications to support all levels of the business.
· This position will work closely with the QA team, so there will be a significant Automated Testing component in addition to general development duties. What You’ll Do:
· Utilize expertise in Java development principles to design, develop, and test software solutions based on business requirements.
· Leverage Automated Testing tools to test and correct errors/bugs
· Design and execute test cases to work within an Automated Testing framework.
· Utilize SQL for supplement Java-based solutions.
· Act as a technical resource for team members and Lead team members.
· Interface with stakeholders at different levels/units of business leadership to ensure excellent delivery on requirements.

About You:
· Demonstrated Lead experience overseeing 10+ SDETs in Apache Spark, Big Data, and Data Analytics environment.
· Automation experience in JAVA, REST API, Micro services architecture experience
· QA automation (Backend REST API) and solid QA mindset
· UI automation with selenium
· Experience with Integration testing and/or performance testing
· SQL knowledge
· 5 years of hands on software development experience using Java technology stack.
· 3-5 years of hands on database experience with SQL and related technologies.
· Excellent understanding of testing principles including crafting test cases
· Prior experience working with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cucumber, or Junit.
· Ability to leverage creative solutions to problems.
· CD/CI experience and configuration knowledge preferred
· AWS experience (S3, SES/SQS, Lambda) preferred.

Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Analytics, Mathematics, or related field.
Master’s Degree preferred.
