Position Summary

The Scrum Master is responsible for instilling Agile principles across the team and providing agile coaching across the client as an organization. This includes guiding the team through all Scrum events (Planning, Standup, Reviews and Retrospectives) and working relentlessly to remove any blockers or impediments being encountered by the team. The Scrum Master must be creative, energetic and passionate about Agile and Scrum and have a good understanding on how to scale Agile across the larger organization.

Responsibilities

  • Doing everything to delight our customers
  • Encouraging an environment of team self-organization
  • Maintaining light-weight metrics for the purposes of inspecting and adapting
  • Building a trusting environment that encourages collaboration and creativity
  • Facilitating conversation between the development team members and the end users
  • Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution
  • Supporting and educating the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog.
  • Being an overall servant leader to the team
  • Training and coaching Agile and Scrum principals to both team members and individuals in the larger client environment, including senior leadership
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • MUST HAVE A BACKGROUND IN DEVELOPMENT. Minimum 2-3 yrs of previous engineering experience, software testing or other technical experience related to software development
  • 5+ years of Agile/Scrum Master Lead
  • Scrum Certification: (CSM, CSPO, CSP, PMI-ACP, SAFe)
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
