Job Profile Summary
Our client is looking for an SCCM Expert for our client in the Augusta, Maine area. This is a 3 month position, 100% remote.
Responsibilities:
Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM): 10 yrs. exp.
Deploy software updates: Configure the site for software updates; configure and synchronize the software update point; configure automatic deployment rules; prepare the Configuration Manager site for software updates; evaluate
software updates; monitor and troubleshoot software updates; evaluating our current environment and change management procedures to build a process that follows SCCM best practices to automate Microsoft updates and 3rd Party Software patching where possible.
Key Responsibilities:
* Configure System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to apply Microsoft updates to Windows Servers.
* Configure System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to setup and deliver third party patches with Patch My PC.
* Perform administrative tasks from System Center consoles, provide application support for SCCM.
* Ability to communicate how to leverage technology to create business value and become more effective and efficient
* Work with managers and peers to understand and solve challenging technical problems, produce effort estimates, and improve system functionality, reliability and reduce costs.
* Transfer knowledge via documentation and training to Client resources. Knowledges, Skills and Abilities Required:
SCCM duties include:
* Assist with creating and administrating advertisements, programs, collections, and custom reports in SCCM.
* Assist with troubleshooting failed SCCM deployments and SCCM health issues
* Administer SCCM software delivery including various methods such as running advertised programs, machine targeted, user targeted and large-scale deployments.
* Assist in the administration of the SCCM back end to keep the system running and healthy, including upgrades and changes to core components, site boundaries and bandwidth settings.
* Assist with managing and administrating SCCM client health including client remediation
* Other tasks as assigned
Skills:
* Perform administrative task from the Configuration Manager console
* Perform administrative task from the Service Manager console.
* Develop and execute test plans for deployed solutions
* Validate patches and security policies for enterprise tools and operating systems
* Grant permissions to allow responsible groups to manage resources and work queues
* Utilize verbal and written communication skills to maintain accurate system documentation and provide training as required
Qualifications:
* Excellent understanding and demonstration of the Microsoft System Center suite of products.
* Experience and expertise with System Center Configuration Manager 2019 in an enterprise environment
