  • PMP Required
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience

  • The Senior Project Manager drives the end-to-end delivery of large projects that are approved and funded.
  • This includes guiding simultaneous complex projects from inception through delivery and support, working in close partnership with IT and business leaders, including project, program, and executive sponsors, all IT groups, as well as other leaders within the business and IT.
  • Other responsibilities include defining objectives, creating plans to define the objectives, tracking progress against objectives and budgets, driving execution of key projects and programs, coaching project team members and improving project management processes.
  • Provides overall coordination, status reporting, and stability of project oriented work efforts.
  • Establishes new and improves existing project management processes and methodologies for organization to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards, and meet customer expectations.
  • The responsibilities for this role are: Provide strategic input to IT leadership and other leadership on all aspects of projects or programs being managed to provide value to the business
  • Continually assess the overall resource requirements for IT resources associated with projects or programs
  • Continually work to improve the delivery rate of IT projects within IT and ensure quality and strict scope adherence
  • Establish a flexible and realistic staffing model in support of strategic direction Understand and influence cross-functional and cross-business unit dynamics in providing the lowest cost of ownership for its IT solutions over time
  • Ensure that project silos do not exist, and identify appropriate cross-project integration opportunities Successfully manage and execute projects on schedule and on budget
  • Manage internal resources and any subject matter experts from other functional areas or external entities
  • Control and manage the scope of all project-related activities
  • Ensure rapid project issue resolution and sound decision making
  • Ensure the execution of all and IT policies, procedures, and standards are followed Ensure the high quality creation and execution of project plans and communication plans
  • Track and report project status on a consistent basis, including identifying, categorizing, and escalating project issues and risks that need leadership attention
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes, procedures, tools, training, and reporting functions related to projects worked on within IT
  • Ensure that communicated and planned metrics (savings, cost, timing, etc.) are achieved
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and coaching team members to ensure success in their roles to support the needs of IT
  • Responsible for coaching, developing, and encouraging excellence from a diverse team
  • Establish and maintain internal and external contacts to position IT to leverage industry best practices Propose creative, high-impact changes in processes or strategies
  • Remains current on professional organizations and publications
  • Consistently retools and enhances current knowledge with updated business, industry, and technology trends
