Job Description:
The consultant drives a critical, hands-on leadership role in ensuring the successful design, implementation, and optimization of the SAP Invoice to Pay (I2P) and global OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) solution. This is the top internal subject matter expert (SME) who actively coordinates internal business resources, drives the future-state process vision, and serves as the primary quality control point for the functional and technical work delivered by the external implementation partner. This role requires extensive Invoice to Pay domain expertise and the ability to translate high-level business needs into actionable configuration strategies and drive alignment across technical and functional teams.
Additional Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Business, Finance, IT, or related field. Certifications in SAP VIM or S/4HANA finance are advantageous.
Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Invoice-to-Pay (I2P), and Accounts Payable operations, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and process excellence and 15+ years of overall working experience.
Deep expertise in SAP Accounts Payable processes and system integration, with hands-on experience overseeing custom developments and functional enhancements tailored to business needs.
Comprehensive knowledge of the end-to-end I2P lifecycle, including invoice processing, PO/non-PO matching, exception resolution, compliance adherence, and payment execution.
Demonstrated success in global process management and transformation roles, bringing a strategic and scalable approach to process design and optimization.
Led successful implementations of OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) and similar workflow automation solutions such as Basware and ReadSoft, enhancing AP automation and reducing manual touchpoints.
Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA and its integration with OpenText VIM, enabling robust and future-ready AP ecosystems.
Recognized for excellent project management, stakeholder engagement, and change management capabilities effectively bridging the gap between technical teams and business users.
Adept at leading cross-functional teams across regions, aligning execution with strategic priorities while ensuring timely and quality delivery of project milestones.
Skilled facilitator, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders to drive consensus and support adoption.
Thrives in global, matrixed environments, collaborating across time zones and cultural contexts with agility and professionalism.

Experience leading or participating in large-scale, multi-country, multi-language implementations, understanding the nuances of regional compliance and localization requirements.
Superior verbal and written communication skills, capable of translating highly technical configuration details into clear business impacts for leadership.
Knowledge of best practices for implementing internal controls (e.g., SOX) and tax compliance within automated invoice processing workflows.
