SAP HCM Payroll & Success Factors Lead Consultant

Location- 100% Remote

Role Summary:

The SAP HCM Payroll & SuccessFactors Lead Consultant is responsible for leading the design, implementation, and support of SAP HCM Payroll and SAP SuccessFactors solutions. This role ensures seamless integration between on-premise and cloud HR systems while aligning HR processes with business needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead implementation and support of SAP HCM Payroll and SuccessFactors modules
  • Configure and customize payroll schemas, rules, and processes
  • Manage integrations between SAP HCM (on-premise) and SuccessFactors (Employee Central, etc.)
  • Gather and analyze business requirements from HR and payroll stakeholders
  • Design end-to-end HR and payroll solutions
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory payroll requirements
  • Troubleshoot payroll issues and ensure accurate, timely processing
  • Lead data migration, system upgrades, and enhancements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Finance, IT)
  • Mentor junior consultants and manage project deliverables
  • Prepare documentation, testing (UAT), and deployment activities

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in SAP HCM Payroll (configuration, schemas, PCRs)
  • Hands-on experience with SAP SuccessFactors (especially Employee Central)
  • Knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance
  • Experience with integration tools (e.g., CPI, middleware)
  • Understanding of HR business processes (hire-to-retire lifecycle)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in HR, IT, or related field
  • SAP certifications in HCM Payroll and/or SuccessFactors
  • Experience in global payroll implementations
  • Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA HR or Employee Central Payroll (ECP)
  • Knowledge of data migration tools and methodologies

  • Payroll accuracy and compliance rate
  • Timely payroll processing and issue resolution
  • System uptime and performance
  • Successful project delivery within timelines
  • Stakeholder/user satisfaction

Work Environment:

  • Client-facing role with cross-functional collaboration
