Overview
This role provides critical support for the implementation and ongoing support of SAP S4/Hana.
Duties
- Support SI functional consultants to configure, test and deploy solutions
- Support the IT team in their learning of the new SAP system
- Special focus on security and controls, including the design, testing, development, approval, and monitoring/measurement of process controls and application security with corresponding segregation of duties to support the business
- Establish, develop and implement SAP development and change control practices and methodologies
- Provide input to test scripts and support in testing of solutions
- Act in absence of other functional and technical resources
Purpose and Accountabilities
- The client is embarking on a replacement of our enterprise ERP including our Financial systems (General Ledger, Account Payable, Accounts Receivable, basic Procurement, Treasury and Billing).
- This role will partner with the System Integrator to design and configure SAP S4/Hana Cloud Platform. This role will support the technical/functional configuration and support of SAP thorough the implementation.
- This person will work closely with stakeholders from the Global Finance community, system integrator, data integrator and other project team members.
- And support the IT team in their learning of the new SAP system.
Required Skills
SAP Functional Consultant with experience in:
- SAP S/4 HANA
- SAP Financials/FICO (AR, AP, and GL, at a minimum)
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required with academic record in Accounting or IT-related field of study
- Minimum 4 years in configuration and/or programming.
- 2+ years previous configuration experience (including forms and reports) with SAP S/4HANA or other SAP Finance/Billing/Purchasing solutions (ex: BRIM, Ariba, Leasing, Treasury, etc).
- S/4HANA finance certification is preferred
- Broad knowledge of IT systems, infrastructure, processes, and controls
- Solid understanding of the architecture of SAP
- Strong understanding of relational databases
- Demonstrative success with multiple full-cycle SAP integration projects
- Experience integrating SAP with other applications via real-time, batch, sync/async
Knowledge and Competencies
- Solid understanding of accounting concepts and core Finance business processes
- Knowledge of various IT development practices (ex: Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and tools (ex: JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Ability to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization. Establish close working relationships with key areas of interface.
- Technical, development expertise in all technologies in area of concentration.
- Quality assurance practices
- Technical project management experience
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
- Enthusiastic team player; productive working independently or as part of a team
