Job Role: Big Data Tester
Location: Chicago, IL/Richardson, TX
Skills & experience:
· 5+Years of QA experience in Bigdata Ecosystem -Hortonworks (HiveQL, HDFS), Sqoop, Spark, Kafka
· Knowledge in Shell Scripting/Unix
· Strong skills in various data validation methodologies between source and target of various formats
· Automation capabilities in handling validation of complex files like Json, XML, Parquet
· Strong experience in test management tools
· Teradata SQL Assistant, Zena Scheduler
· Tools such as XMLSPY, Winscp, Putty, Notepad++, Ultraedit etc
· SDLC Methodology - Agile / Scrum
· PC proficiency to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
· Azure basic knowledge is a plus
· Experienced in Onsite/Offshore model
· Individual Contributor, flexible to work in multiple projects and works independently
