Job Description:
Senior LowLatency Systems Deployment Engineer for Electronic Trading Technologies
As a Senior Low Latency Systems Architect andSite Reliability Engineer, the candidate will bring their skills and experienceto Design and Build of Low Latency Infrastructure solutions for Equities, FixedIncome and Wealth Management customers. This role also focuses on devising andimplementing automation and operational enhancements of the LowLatency/HFT/bespoke platforms as well as a number of other strategicarchitecture initiatives globally. Candidate will work closely with the key LowLatency application teams to understand their needs and engineer solutions forthem. These will include High Performance Cooling Systems, FPGA, GPU,Microwaves. This candidate is expected to work directly with applicationdevelopment teams in IBIT and front office businesses globally to providesolutions to their complex infrastructure requirements as well as supportorganizations in infrastructure and applications. The role will require servicemanagement of the following services in a global capacity:
• Ultra and Low Latency Hosting Service
• Low Latency Market Data and Order ExecutionService
• Client Onboarding & Connectivity Service
• Application Latency Monitoring and ReportingService
• Performance & Monitoring Engineering
Desired Experience:
Candidate must possess a minimum of 10 plus yearexperience in a live environment including:
• Expect 7 years of managing systems inelectronic trading environment, preferably in Low Latency
• Experience with Low Latency Products (HighPerformance Cooling Systems, FPGA,
GPU, Microwaves)
• Red Hat RPM package creation and repositorymanagement
• Using scripting languages (Python, Ruby, Perl,Bash)
• Experience with Puppet expected, experiencewith Foreman and Ansible is a plus
• Strong understanding of Storage Products.
• Strong grasp of automation, performance andmonitoring products.
• Ability to use a wide variety of open sourcetechnologies and tools
• Core system services: BIND, Sendmail, Postfix,Samba, Rsync, NTP, NFS, etc
• System and Application Logging: syslog-ng,rsyslog, Splunk, etc.
• Experience of version control with git
• Experience with Jenkins a plus
• A strong focus on business outcomes
• Comfortable with collaboration, opencommunication and reaching across functional borders
• Lead technology best practice to ensuresystems uptime is maintained
• Take turns on 24/7 on call rotation supportingbusiness critical applications and systems
Client Engagement:
• Must be knowledgeable of the front officebusiness culture and climate in equities and fixed income business anddemonstrate high-level client service management skills
• Clients and Low Latency technology assets areprimarily operated out of global colocations and data center facilities withclose proximity to major exchanges and ECN, and Electronic Trading Network(ETN) environments, the candidate must be familiar with this
• Ability to represent service portfolio,financial pricing for services to clients
