The selected candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for planning, designing, maintaining and integrating local and wide area network infrastructure and will have input into the architecture deployed throughout the WAN footprint. The person in this position must be able to communicate well and feel comfortable working within both Oracle and Google clouds. This is a hybrid position with candidates expected to be in the office at least once a week.
Here's what you'll be doing:
· Be willing to serve as either a project leader or as a technical resource in the development, deployment and/or sustainment of an enterprise-level initiative
· Configure and maintain Cisco routers, switches, Next Gen firewalls, ISE and other appliances on the network
· Design and implement secure security solutions using Cisco FTD, IPS, and IDS
· Support the Cisco AnyConnect Enterprise VPN environment as well as the Firepower Appliances used for remote connectivity
· Perform Network Management functions utilizing various industry tools to monitor, test, verify, troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems by working with users, service providers, and others
· Act as escalation point with occasional 24/7 on-call support for major outages and client support
· Perform analysis of network needs and contribute to design of network architecture, integration, and installation
· Provide guidance and instruction to other members of the team
· Monitor and identify network capacity and performance issues to maximize efficiency of communication systems
· Deploy ISE infrastructure technology components based on technical requirements
· Support security group tags (SGTs) and micro-segmentation within ISE
· Create/support ISE infrastructure technology components used by one or more applications
Our ideal candidate must possess the following skills:
· Advanced knowledge of Client enterprise administration technologies such as RADIUS, AAA, profiling, TACACS, policy development, posturing, guest services, certificate provisioning, persona management, and NAC management using Cisco ISE
· Expertise working with Cisco networking equipment such as Catalyst, Nexus, and ASR at a senior level.
· Must have a hands-on experience working with the following network technologies: 802.1x, OSPF, BGP,, VPN
· Experience in the design of distributed, high availability server-based network computing infrastructures; GCI and OCI design, build and/or operational experience.
· Experience with Wide Area Network technologies including MPLS, DMVPN
· Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary to complete job
· Contribute to the development of network documentation, including diagrams, standards, specifications and operating procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Network Engineering
Self-motivated, adaptable and able to work well in a group environment
Current CCIE RS(written) or CCNP-Security certification required
Cloud certification is a plus
Basic knowledge and familiarity with coding/scripting/automation is a plus
