Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Ab Initio Developer to design, develop, and support high-performance ETL and data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and data teams to build scalable data pipelines, ensure data quality, and support enterprise data platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using Ab Initio.
- Build and optimize data integration and data transformation processes.
- Work with business analysts and data architects to understand data requirements.
- Develop reusable components and follow best practices for Ab Initio development.
- Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks.
- Tune and optimize Ab Initio graphs for performance and scalability.
- Support production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Maintain technical documentation for ETL processes and data flows.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with Ab Initio (GDE and Co>Operating System).
- Good understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data integration.
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases.
- Experience with Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting.
- Understanding of performance tuning and large-scale data processing.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience working in large enterprise data programs.
