Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will work closely with data architects, analysts, and business teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop end-to-end data pipelines on Azure
Build and maintain ETL/ELT processes using Azure Data Factory
Develop and optimize data solutions using Azure Synapse Analytics
Implement data ingestion from multiple sources (SQL, APIs, files, streaming)
Work with large datasets and ensure data quality, security, and governance
Optimize performance, cost, and scalability of Azure data solutions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support production issues

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF)
Hands-on experience in Azure Synapse Analytics / SQL DW
Strong knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)
Experience with Azure Databricks (PySpark / Spark SQL)
Proficiency in SQL and data modeling
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)

Nice to Have:

Experience with Streaming (Azure Event Hub, Kafka, Stream Analytics)
Knowledge of Data Governance (Purview)
Experience with Power BI for reporting and analytics
Exposure to Delta Lake
Azure Data Engineer Certification (DP-203)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
